Ch'ích'iyúy Elxwíkn
172 new homes for a range of low-income individuals and Indigenous Elders
Ch'ích'iyúy Elx̱wíḵn is a name gifted by Chief Ian Campbell of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw. It honors the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh legend of the Twin Sisters.
The building will include 172 residential homes. These consist of 94 units provided through the Community Housing Fund, 78 low-end-of-market units, and 56 units dedicated to Indigenous Elders at income assistance levels. Residents will have access to thoughtfully designed spaces, including a central courtyard, two rooftop patios, and a wellness deck.
The project reached its structural top-off in fall 2025, which marked the placement of the final and highest structural element. Completion is expected by the end of 2026.

CULTURAL EXPRESSION: Cultural expression includes an exterior mural, rooftop art surfaces, elevator lobby treatments, lobby artwork, unit entry markers, and residential floor murals. These features will celebrate Indigenous heritage throughout the building.
