Chenḵw Em̓út means “I am home” and provides safe, long-term rental homes for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Elders, youth, and families. The design of the 95-unit development is based on the traditional Sḵwx̱wú7mesh longhouse includes 40 suites and townhouse units with direct access to back yards or patios at grade and 55 apartment units with exterior decks as well as a community garden and a space for community programming. Sḵwx̱wú7mesh language signage is featured throughout the development both inside the buildings and throughout the site.

LDM oversaw the development management and construction claims management for the recently completed project and assisted in navigating a complex land designation and Artist procurement support. Prior to developing the on-reserve site, LDM assisted Hiy̓ám in navigating and proceeding with a land designation, a complex process mandated by Indigenous Services Canada that included a Nation-wide member referendum to designate the land for affordable housing use.
