ʔAqantⱠanam Affordable Housing

ʔAqantⱠanam Housing Society

This project marks Phase 2 of ʔAqantⱠanam’s development on the site, adding 20 new affordable rental homes to complement the 39 existing homes at the Chief Agnes McCoy Centre, built just a few years ago. The project also provides much-needed new office space for the Society.

LDM is overseeing the development management and construction claims management for the project and supported the Society to secure funding under BC Housing’s Indigenous Housing Fund. The project is under construction with estimated completion in 2027.

As a non‑profit housing provider, ʔAqantⱠanam Housing Society continues to demonstrate leadership in creating housing that is grounded in community, care, and cultural respect. Ahead of construction, a private cultural blessing was held with Joe Pierre, former Chief of ʔaq̓am; Kay Shottanana, ʔaq̓am Elder and AHS Board President; and Cecilia Teneese, ʔaq̓am Member and AHS Executive Director.
