Miriam Wiggins, IA AIBC, MArch
Development Manager

Miriam joined Lu’ma Development Management in 2025 with decades of experience in contract administration and architectural design.

Recognized in the industry as both a Contract Administrator and an Architectural Designer, Miriam has contributed to a wide array of projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, non-profit, Indigenous housing, and community-based developments bringing expertise across all phases of project delivery—from early concept design through to construction and contract administration. In her role as Contract Administrator and now as Development Manager, Miriam has worked on several BC Housing projects under the Indigenous and Community Housing Funds both on and off reserve.

Miriam is a member of the Architectural Institute of BC and holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Simon Fraser University where she took courses in Community Planning.

Miriam’s connection to Indigenous communities is deeply personal. Through her partner’s work in Indigenous Social Services and their circle of friends, she has spent time traveling to reserves across Saskatchewan and Alberta for community basketball 'money tournaments'—experiences that were both meaningful and eye-opening. While living in the small town of Mission, she and her partner raised their children through Aboriginal Family Place, a parent-participation Indigenous family program offered by the Stó:lō Nation at the site of the former St. Mary’s Residential School—the last operating residential school in Canada. Miriam and her family remain connected to the organization to this day.
