45 deeply affordable homes for Indigenous youth, Elders, and families, and CSFS office space
In response to the urgent need for affordable housing in Prince George on Lheidli T'enneh territory, particularly for youth and young families experiencing housing insecurity, CSFS has partnered with BC Housing and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) to develop this six-storey, 45-unit building which will offer homes at deeply subsidized rents.
The building has been intentionally designed to support connection and community, featuring welcoming communal spaces, including outdoor gathering areas and an amenity room with a large kitchen. The ground floor will house CSFS offices, offering culturally safe and Indigenous informed services and programming to support the unique needs of the residents and the broader community.
By providing safe, secure, and culturally appropriate housing—complemented by programs offered by CSFS —the project offers an innovative by-Indigenous-for-Indigenous approach to housing solutions aimed at fostering intergenerational connection and healing.
From an early sketch to construction start in only 12 months, LDM has supported the society through every stage—achieving one of the fastest approval-to-construction timelines to date. CSFS anticipates welcoming families, youth and elders into their new homes in early 2027.

CULTURAL EXPRESSION: Indigenous artwork, including an exterior mural, entrance carvings, and a first-floor installation, all by local Indigenous artists will embody Indigenous values of connection, learning, and community, promoting healing, wellbeing, and a sense of cultural pride and belonging for those who will make the building their home.
